Alone on Christmas... EMO!

A friend and college batch mate posted on his facebook page, "Im still one of the SMP..." (Samahang Malamig ang Pasko / Group of People having cold love life christmas). My reply to his post is that he is just being emotional. And I think it does not really make sense. I've been in his position long time ago so I know how he feels. But realizing that I have my sister and my mom on Christmas eve made me think that, Why would I want somebody on a Christmas eve that I'm not probably keeping for the rest of my life? That question shook me up and turn my point of view in a different direction.

What's going on???

We all know what happened during the last NBA break. The Allen Iverson signing to Turkey League, Shaq almost unsigned, Amare singing with Knicks, top pick overall John Wall working with Gilbert Arenas, etcetera, etcetera. But the real big news was Lebron James and Chris Bosh going to South Beach to join Dwayne Wade and forming their own version of Big three.
But Miami's got more dough to spend! Re-signing Udonis Haslem to help wade shape the new comers. Oh yeah, and they got Carlos Arroyo, Mike Miller and Ilgauskas and Eddie House. This is almost as powerful lineup I have when I am cheating at NBA computer games. Okay... then the bad news. They lost Mike Miller during training camp due to broken wrist. Then during the pre season games, Dwayne Wade had Hamstring Injury.

Bad luck? looks like it, because for some reason they are having trouble on dominating. I tell you, with a lineup like that? I bet a lot of teams were scared. But having an 8-6 record early this season and even losing to Indiana with more than 10 points? oh man, Eric Spoelstra is in trouble! That's why Pat Riley started taking down notes. Looks like Micky Arison (team owner) told Pat to go down the ladder and fix it. Well of course, if that's the case, Pat Riley will eventually have to take Eric S. spot.
But come on, it's a new team. It will take a couple more that 6 losing games to build their Chemistry and teamwork. But that's just me sayin.

Vacation Leave

Me and my wife took a leave yesterday from work to go to her OBGYNE for monthly check up. The Doctor was an hour late because she had a flat tire going to the hospital. Obviously, she was telling the truth because she was tired and still catching her breath when she arrived. I was thinking that she was the one who changed her flat tire. During the check up, she keeps on chuckling that the baby is so energetic! She even had me and my wife listen to our baby's heartbeat while roaming around my wife's tummy. So it's a total success! Baby is healthy!

After the checkup, Eyah and I went to SM North (Mall) to secure tickets for Harry Potter 7 Part 1. We picked the Harry Potter that will be shown in IMAX cinema. Eyah said that it will be larger compared to normal cinemas. So we purchased 2 tickets with free popcorn and drinks. For me, not reading Harry Potter books, I still don't know if the story will be amazing. But judging from the previous HP movies, the only movie I don't like was the last one. Damn! I even forgot it's title! ahahaha

[SPORTS] He's Back!!! is it a good or bad thing?

Yes folks, Delonte West is back on the Boston Celtics bench after 10-game suspension due to gun charges. He's been under the radar of Boston as he continue to attend practices/trainings and getting himself fit in Celtics way of playing Basketball. NBA critics predicted that he will be shedding some light to the second team of Boston. As he can play the point, Nate Robinson can concentrate more on being a scoring guard as he was with the Knicks. West can also provide a reputable defense on the court. Although probably not as good and quick as Tony Allen (which Celtics lost to Memphis), he can surely give NBA guards something to think about dribbling in front of him.

[SPORTS] Pacman WINS again!!!

Nov 14 2011 was one of those special dates where Filipinos close their stores, cook early lunch, pack up their bags and go to a place where paper view boxing fights can be viewed. Because one of our own will be on the main event... Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito.

Well... as usual... The Filipino pride wins again... it's a unanimous decision in favor of Pacman. This is his 8th title snatch after Pacman literally battered Margarito.
So who's next for Pacman? I don't know. But based on an interview with Pacman's coach Fredie Roach, Manny should concentrate on political duties. Roach added that Manny should retire if Mayweather Jr. will be convicted. Roach said that there is no point on progressing if there's no Mayweather. But in my opinion, after Pacman's previous matches, Mayweather have all the reasons to pick Jail against a match with the Pacman.

[TV SHOW] Digital Photo Plus

Well, aside from the 30th Birthday of my Wife, I just found out that there's already a local photography show playing. It is Digital Photo Plus hosted by non other than wedding photographer Pilar Tuason. The show is entirely shot by 5Dmk2 and 7D (DSLR Cameras). By the time me and my wife tuned in, it was already on the last 10 mins of the show. The show was centered to street photography. Pilar and her co-host Larry went to Hobbit house and Freddie Aguilar's Bar. Showcasing their shots with settings during their photowalk. I also learned that it's already the 3rd episode so now I am searching the net on how to get my own copy of the 3 episodes.

[GADGET] Sony NEX - 5

I've been a casual Photo enthusiast since I got a hold of my father's Yashieca Film Camera. I've handled several cameras big and small. But right now, I'm using a Canon 50D and a LUMIX LX3. When I saw a commercial of this Sony NEX-5, I started thinking of getting one since it looks very compact. But, since I really think that Sony brand is over rated, I must need to put a lot of thought in acquiring this camera.

[MOVIES] Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1

Alright, Harry, Hermione and Ron are back! Back for the first part of the last Harry Potter books. I personally love the movies and story. Technically I did'nt love the books since I'm not fond of reading books. Anyway, don't be hesitant about the "part 1" thing, because based on interviews, the final book is so good that producers refused to leave a lot of details from the book. From having 7 Harry Potters, attack at the Ministry, death of a couple of interesting characters to the death of Harry will be your reason not to miss this on the big screen.
